Bylaw 2369 – Auxiliary Dwelling Units
The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) Board of Directors is considering an application for Auxiliary Dwelling Units to allow secondary suites within single family dwellings and within detached garages in all residential zones excluding the following areas: land within the boundary of the Lake Windermere OCP, land within the boundary of the Fairmont Hot Springs OCP and the original single family subdivision at Panorama Mountain Village. This bylaw contains 14 residential zones that are being considered for inclusion of secondary suites. This proposed amendment will not affect parcels in Fairmont and Panorama that are currently zoned to permit secondary suites.

The Board has delegated the holding of this hearing to the Directors for Electoral Area F, Electoral Area G.
If you believe that your interest in property is affected by the proposed Bylaw, you may prior to the hearing:
• inspect the Bylaw and supporting information at the RDEK office in Cranbrook from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, excluding
• mail, fax or email written submissions to the addresses/numbers shown below; or
• present written and/or verbal submissions at the hearing.
Submissions cannot be accepted after the public hearing.
